Massive archive of over 7,000 Kodachrome 35mm slides spanning 1950 to 1987, all from a single family. Documented with a handwritten ledger noting place, date, subject, and corresponding slide number, this collection includes international travel to India, Japan, Hong Kong, Canada's National Parks, Europe, and extensive coverage of U.S. destinations, as well as home life in Texas and Oklahoma. All slides are mounted in Kodak cardboard mounts, while travel slides are in plastic mounts. Slides were consolidated from carousel trays into 31 organized boxes, each marked for easy reference using the ledger. Some film from the 1950s shows warping in box 0. A true historical time capsule ideal for historians, educators, or photo preservationists.
